AP School educational methodology. This is an innovative approach to learning that focuses on practical skills and real knowledge rather than high grades on report cards. It is also a modern adaptation of NUS methods.

Students and their parents face an important task: to acquire a large amount of knowledge during their years at the lyceum, prepare for the NMT, enter university, and at the same time maintain the child’s psychological health.

What if school didn’t have to be an exhausting race from test to exam? What if you didn’t have to sacrifice sleep, rest, and time with friends to fully master the school curriculum? What if there was a way to confidently navigate this path while still having time to study, develop, and be a happy teenager?

What does our methodology involve?

Modern teaching methods

The materials are selected in such a way that students find it interesting to learn new information. Complex topics are presented not in a “dry” academic style, but in an accessible and relevant form that corresponds to the perception of modern children and teenagers.

Technology

In our lessons, we use 3D models, interactive methods, virtual reality, and gamification to activate different types of memory and maximize student interest in the learning process.

History

Each subject is a story that the student must go through. In the first year, there is a list of series and tasks. We present the theory in an educational cartoon or series for older students. Students complete independent and homework assignments in quests on the learning platform.

Teacher-student

The lessons are conducted in an atmosphere of mutual respect, with the teacher acting as a mentor who guides and supports rather than pressures. In addition to the teacher, each student is accompanied by a personal tutor who helps with the organization of learning and motivates them to continue studying during difficult moments.

Attention

Online classes are conducted using a transparent glass board. The student and teacher are on either side of the board—it’s like a two-way mirror with educational material.

This allows the teacher to constantly face the student and maintain visual contact. Classes are active: with gestures, constant communication, rather than a one-sided presentation of material.

This way, the student concentrates better on the lesson and is more attentive because they can see both the teacher and the recorded information at the same time.

Curiosity

To better remember the material, it is important for the student to create a vivid memory or association (eidetic method).

To do this, we visualize the topics as vividly as possible in theoretical classes. We use 3D models and review adapted educational materials. And in practical classes, especially in integrated subjects, we actively discuss what we have learned and hold discussions.

Our online platform contains educational games, quests, documentaries, series, and cartoons based on the school curriculum.

Teacher

The structure of the classes allows the teacher to work individually with each student. Throughout the semester, students always have the opportunity to arrange individual consultations to thoroughly review mistakes from previous lessons or catch up a little with the program.

And in order to understand what exactly needs to be reviewed, teachers create a performance chart — clearly identifying what is going well and what needs to be revisited. Constant analysis and repetition are the main methods of our teaching and the principle of our teachers.

Why is it close to you?

Our task is to adapt teaching materials to the needs of modern children. And to teach students to do the same on their own. Because learning to learn is also necessary — it is the most important skill in life.

Our students can choose lesson topics according to their interests. These are their hobbies, favorite computer games, future professions, or sports they are passionate about.

This is what they watch after school, what they google, what they dream of doing for the rest of their lives. The same thing they would do for fun. It’s free time incorporated into school time.

Our teaching is close to the students because it is as extracurricular as possible, but at the same time, it is very beneficial.

So “close to you” means “interesting to you.” It’s not easy, because learning can’t be easy, but it can seem that way if it’s interesting.

Additionally

Our school program can be viewed as an external form of education or a detailed study guide.

Interactive materials, manuals, collections, and the AP School online platform are the best cheat sheets. In case all the knowledge flies away after class, there is too much unnecessary stuff on YouTube, and ChatGPT does not understand the prompt.

Socialization is also an important element of Close to You. We teach children mutual respect, leadership, and courage in the face of unyielding life challenges.
