The preschool program from AP School is a journey from the world of children’s games to the world of science. Here, every lesson is a new adventure. We help children develop a love of learning through play. Our approach is based on the Close to You format, which allows teachers to actively interact with each student in order to prepare them effectively.
Preschool education online at AP School
Preparing the youngest: interesting, innovative, effective
Preparation for AP School online
Game-based learning
Children acquire knowledge through play, complete adventure quests in an online game, create characters, and solve interesting problems.
Individual approach
Here, everyone gets attention. Teachers work individually, which allows them to take into account the developmental characteristics and interests of each student.
Memory training
Learning foreign languages is the best way to develop memory. Our methodology allows children to freely express their thoughts not only in their native language but also in a foreign language within a year.
LIVE format
Interactive lessons are conducted online and live. This creates the effect of the teacher’s presence, which makes learning as effective as possible.
Our approaches to preschool education
The school preparation program is developed and improved by methodologists who uphold one main principle: to get children interested in learning.
Platform
It was created to move the game from the playground to a safe place. The online platform contains educational development games filled with teaching materials by our teachers. These are applications adapted from the structure of games from well-known resources such as Kahoot, Baamboozle, and Wordwall.
Main methodology
We fully illustrate the material and make short cartoons. This is a practice of the eidetic method, a visual way of memorizing, and it gives the best results in teaching children. Thanks to 3D models, storylines, and animations, we hold children’s elusive attention throughout the entire lesson.
Mental attitude
We overcome children’s fears and insecurities. We already live in uncertain times, and the first experience of learning often causes additional stress. In our lessons, children socialize just as they would offline: they learn to work in a team, get to know each other, and communicate. And this socialization is more effective because it is completely controlled by the teacher.
How we prepare children for first grade
Format of online preparatory courses
Close to You is our proprietary development. It is an educational interactive project that makes it easier for children to gradually transition from entertainment to learning, develop discipline, and use their interests to achieve results.
Conditions for preparing for school
Small groups of 5–10 participants. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes, which is enough time to warm up mentally, review the material, complete several practical tasks, and repeat what was covered in the previous lesson.
Preparation program for 1st grade
- “Journey in the Forest of Magic Letters” – alphabet and grammar basics.
- “Colorful Wonders in the World of Numbers” – first tasks in mathematics, counting, and sorting numbers.
- “Space Travels Through Time” — developing thinking and learning about different eras, the differences between days, weeks, months, and years.
- “City of Fortresses and Shapes” – a geometry lesson: children build various fortresses and buildings using basic geometric shapes.
- “Captain of the Moving Oceans” – a physical education lesson where students perform exercises for coordination and motor skill development.

Frequently asked questions about school preparation
At what age should school preparation begin?
A child should be 4, 5, or 6 years old before starting school preparation. The prefrontal cortex of the brain, which is responsible for the ability to think and perceive information from the outside, matures at this age. This provides a starting point for the development of basic skills.
How long does the preparation course last?
Although we provide readiness metrics, parents determine the duration of the full school preparation course themselves. We offer monthly rates. You decide how much time your child still needs, and for your convenience, we will share a useful resource for homework to reinforce the results independently.
Is a special level of knowledge required to start?
No, no special level of knowledge is required. It is important that the child is at least somewhat psychologically and emotionally ready before starting, that they have basic self-control skills, and understand that they need to listen to the teacher. Our course develops these skills and requires a minimum of them at the start.
What is included in the training program?
The program includes our proprietary integrated subjects, created for the start — introductory material before classic school disciplines. The goal of this training is to make a smooth transition from play to learning.
How often are classes held?
School preparation classes are held 1, 2, or 3 times a week. Parents regulate the intensity themselves because we cannot guarantee that one schedule will be universal, so we offer several options to choose from.
What is the format of the classes: online or offline?
Our school preparation classes are held online. There is no reason to worry that such training will be ineffective, because our distance learning is an improved version of the usual offline method, and we have eliminated the shortcomings of the classes that people encountered at the beginning of the pandemic.
How much does the preparation cost?
We offer a variety of packages for school preparation courses. The exact prices can be found above on this page, and the main difference between them is the scope of educational services. The rates are graded by time, i.e., savings in progression.
Is there a trial lesson?
Yes, a trial lesson is included in a number of offers. During this lesson, parents and children get acquainted with the lesson format, the teacher, part of the program, and the teaching methods.
How many children are in a group?
In group lessons, the maximum number of students is 10, so that the teacher can give attention to everyone. This is one of our main principles.
