Gradual improvement of the level
In language classes, both Ukrainian and foreign, we learn to communicate at the same level as we write. Literature and art classes in 5th grade are designed to teach students to understand the author not only through “theme and idea,” but also in discussion groups, where everyone who has read the work analyzes it from their own perspective.

Short breaks: 10–15 minutes between each lesson.

Two shifts: morning (9:00 a.m.–1:00/2:00 p.m.) and evening (12:00 p.m.–4:00/5:00 p.m.).

Learning in 5th grade yields maximum results in an online format if you follow a few recommendations.
Discipline
Make sure your child follows the school schedule. We are responsible for the first half of the day, so please help your child with the second half.
Repetition
A change in workload affects memory, so don’t be surprised if your teenager asks the same questions several times.
Physical fitness
It’s great if parents have the opportunity to enroll their teenager in a sports club. We have added physical education classes to the program and implemented shift learning to ensure that students have time for both studying and physical activity.
Weekends
We do not assign homework on weekends unless necessary. Please allow your child to recharge before the coming week.

New subjects are a deeper study of those that were in elementary school. This type of learning is transitional, as part of the semester is devoted to reinforcing what students studied in Grade 4. We have made this revision more engaging through interactive presentations, so students will not need much effort to adapt to more complex learning.
Classwork does not take more time than the student spent last year. However, homework becomes 30-50 minutes longer on average, and this is because the tasks themselves must be more extensive in size, but not more difficult in terms of effort.
In our distance learning school, homework for 5th grade should be more extensive, but the format itself is similar to that in elementary school. Students still complete quests on the platform. In addition, there are open-ended creative or research tasks where teenagers do not have several answer options to choose from, but need to develop a detailed opinion or algorithm.
There is a common stereotype that children are left without support in online schools. We refute this myth because our learning format contradicts it: the teacher monitors each student’s performance in real time, and in our lyceum, this is even more effective, as only the teacher and the student can see the work.
